Let me tell you how I fell in love with the architecture in England.

Oh, England. You are special.

In 2016 I went to visit family in Basingstoke, a town in southern England. The 13 hour flight was terrible and our rental car broke down when we got there but the scenery made up for all of it. The architecture was so amazing; the brightly colored bricks and strong shapes were scenes I had only seen in movies or online.

This picture was taken across from the Windsor Castle, which is a whole other sight in itself. The rich reds and numerous crisp white windows stand out so beautifully against the always lingering overcast sky. Because I grew up in Lubbock, Texas, a town with flat land and dirt for miles, it was so amazing to see such history in one place.

I cannot wait to photograph you again, England.
